Happy Hallowe'en!

Seeing as it's still Hallowe'en for a few hours, I thought I would post a few quick photos of my costume from the past weekend. I wasn't anyone or anything in specific, as I hadn't planned a costume and had only short notice to throw this one together.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't wish that was my real hair.

I don't often wear leggings but I absolutely love these leggings I bought from Forever 21 last month! I love the tiny houndstooth print and high waist, and they're made from a slightly heavier fabric than most leggings so I think they're quite suitable to be worn as trousers.
For this outfit, I paired them with my thrifted American Apparel peter pan collar shirt and Aldo pumps. This deviates a little from my usual outfits, but I do like to experiment every once and a while.

OOTD - Sailor Shorts

Here's a quick outfit I wore recently. I paired my old white cardigan with a pair of sailor shorts from Sirens, black tights, and platform heels. I love the little shorts as they're really quite comfortable and added a bit of fun to an overall simple outfit!

I've Been Losing Sleep

Body - Marilyn Monroe Intimates / Trousers - Thrifted / Heels - Steve Madden / Ring - Claire's

I'd planned originally for this to be a 1950s inspired outfit, but I think it actually turned out looking more inspired by Madonna's outfit in her 1986 video for Papa Don't Preach. Aside from the heels -- she wore flats. I've to admit, I've always liked Kylie Minogue a bit more than Madonna, but I do find some of Madonna's looks in the 1980s to be quite inspiring!
