Book Review: Dressing Marilyn

I was given this lovely book as a gift a little while ago and have been meaning to write a little post on it. Dressing Marilyn: How a Hollywood Icon Was Styled by William Travilla by Andrew Hansford is all about Marilyn Monroe and the genius designer behind some of her most iconic dresses.

There are just under 200 pages full of interesting information about the designs, beautiful photos of Marilyn, and original sketches done by Travilla of the designs. I loved reading through it -- the stunning photos and stories about the dresses, Marilyn, and Travilla makes for a wonderfully entertaining read. It's a definite must-have for anyone who loves Marilyn and would make a lovely gift with the holidays coming up quickly!

Autumn in the Countryside

I think it's time I did an autumn photo post, as I seem to do one each year. I think autumn is my favourite season, although I do love winter, as well.

I can't believe there still are flowers blooming at this time of the year -- we're spoilt rotten to live here, really!
